Tickets

Early members will be able to buy their tickets from 6pm (UK time) on Monday 03 March 2025.  Only early members will be able to book tickets from this date. If you miss the deadline for purchasing early membership, membership sales re-open on Monday 10 March 2025 at 5.30pm, with tickets going on sale at 6pm.

Please note concert tickets are always in high demand and so early membership is becoming increasingly popular. All tickets are sold on a strict first come first served basis. Due to high demand, even some early members will not be able to purchase tickets originally hoped for.

Prices for tickets vary depending on the concert, but will fall into four brackets: Adult Member, Adult Non-Member, Child Member and Child Non-Member.

Adult Members ticket prices will range from £16.00 - £21.00, Adult Non-members £20.00 - £27.00 and Child tickets were considerably cheaper ranging from £8.00 - £13.00.  The shorter Peerie Spang concert targeted at families with young children will have ticket prices ranging from £6.00 to £10.00.  Please note adults will not be able to attend unless accompanied by a young person!

Child price tickets are available to young people under the age of 18.  Legion late concerts are Over 18s only, and Festival Club lates are for anyone aged 14 and over. Children aged 14-17 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times at the Festival Club lates.  At all events we expect minors to be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

Children under the age of 2 on the first day of the Festival (01 May 2025) do not need to have concert tickets, as long as they are not occupying a seat during any of the ticketed events.

Thursday and Sunday Concerts

• A maximum of one afternoon concert ticket and one evening ticket will be allocated to each membership number.
• We expect at least one child ticket to be included in ticket orders for the Peerie Spang family concert.

Friday Concerts

• A maximum of one afternoon concert ticket, one evening concert ticket and either a Festival Club Late or a Legion Late ticket will be allocated to each membership number.  Only Folk Festival members will be able to purchase tickets for the Club Late.
• Please note that the oopening hours for the Legion Late and the Festival Club Late are exactly the same.  Both will have doors opening at 10.30pm for music commencing around 11.15pm.  The music and bars in both venues will close by 02.00am and both buildings must be cleared by 03.00am.
• The Legion Late is Over 18s only.
• Folk Festival Members aged 14 and over may attend the Festival Club Late but only if accompanied by an Adult Member.  The ticketing system will not allow the sale of under 18 tickets for Festival Club Lates without an Adult member also buying tickets.

Saturday Concerts

• A maximum of one afternoon concert ticket, one evening ticket and one Club Late ticket will be allocated to each membership number.  This years Saturday Legion concert is being classed as an evening concert and not as a Late concert.  Only Folk Festival members will be able to purchase tickets for the Club Late.

None of our concert venues operate with allocated or numbered seating, but for any customers with mobility or impairment issues, please contact the Festival organisers in advance and we will be happy to make provisions for early access and/or reserved seating at our ticketed venues.

All-Inclusive Tickets

The Shetland Folk Festival do not currently offer all-inclusive tickets for the festival, and have no plans to do so. An individual ticket must be purchased for every concert you wish to attend.

Online ticket and membership sales will close at 6pm (UK time) on Tuesday 29 April 2025 (to enable the organisers to process all orders before transferring offices from Burns Lane to the Festival Club).  Any remaining tickets will be available to buy during the festival from the SFFS Shop at the Festival Club.  The SFFS shop will be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 11am - 5pm.

You can pay online using a PayPal account, or by using a Credit/Debit card. We have separate ‘Pay with PayPal’ and ‘Pay with Card’ options (provided by Stripe), so click the preferred button at checkout.  You will be emailed a receipt of your purchase, so please make sure you enter your email address correctly.

Ticket Collection

All tickets must be collected and will be held in Lerwick.  An envelope with all of your processed tickets will be prepared and ready for collecttion at the following venues and times:

5 Burns Lane, Lerwick on Saturday 19 and Saturday 26 April 2025, 11am - 4pm

Festival Club on Wednesday 30 April 2025, 5pm - 8pm

Festival Club Shop on Thursday 01 - Saturday 03 May 2025, 11am - 5pm

Tickets issued by the Shetland Folk Festival Society are non-transferable and non-refundable.  We reserve the right to alter concert line-ups as circumstances may dictate.
