George Spence and Fraser Jamieson

Fiddle player George Spence, from Unst, grew up in a musical family and has been playing the fiddle since the age of 8.

He was the winner of Shetland’s Young Fiddler of the Year and also won the prize for the Junior Tune Competition for one of his compositions. Some influences and styles in his playing are: Shetland Traditional, Bluegrass, Canadian and North East Scottish. He will be accompanied by the talented Fraser Jamieson who is a well known young man on the Shetland music scene. He also plays with Local band Skelburn and is currently studying music at University.

This duo are sure to bring a toe tapping set of tunes to the evening which will be played with plenty of drive and style.
