Da Langstrings are a talented trio of young, dedicated friends who share a deep passion for playing the fiddle.

Da Langstrings —Magnus Williamson (fiddle), Ewan Hutcheson (fiddle), and Liam Slater (fiddle and guitar) have been playing together since 2017, they have become a familiar and much-loved presence in the Shetland music scene.

With a repertoire that spans traditional Shetland tunes and folk music from Ireland, Canada, Scandinavia, and beyond, their sound is richly influenced by both local artists and global traditions. Da Langstrings have entertained audiences at major events such as the Shetland Folk Festival, Shetland Accordion and Fiddle Festival, the Tall Ships Race, and many others across the isles. Their dedication and love for music shine through in every lively and heartfelt performance.
