Da AnnLynn Sessions

This all-female line-up is set to make another appearance at the Shetland Folk Festival! Da AnnLynn Sessions were formed in 2022 and quickly gained a reputation for their infectious energy and harmonious sound.
Da AnnLynn Sessions have been gathering for a number of years around the kitchen table sharing songs and stories —to create a warm musical experience. A like-minded passion for music and camaraderie, this talented collective has graced events like the Peerie Christmas Spree at Muckle Roe, Sail Yell, and even supported acts such as Dean Owens and the Sinners (2023) as well as Kevin Henderson and Neil Pearlman.
Featuring seasoned musicians including Karlyn Garrick (Kansa), Megan Nisbet (Megan & Lauren), Jennifer Christie, Leanne Johnson, Jacqui Brown (Sheepdip), and Diane Wood (Sheepdip), the group likes to blend a fair bit of musical expertise with a bit of experimentation thrown in. Drawing inspiration from icons like Suzie Bogguss, Nanci Griffith, The Chicks, and Shania Twain, they explore a diverse repertoire—from cherished classics to original tunes—all delivered with a laid-back, fun-loving approach.
At the festival, expect a dynamic set that celebrates country charm with rich vocal and fiddle harmonies with a lot of heart and soul.
