The Shetland Folk Festival relies on core funding and the kind generosity of sponsors and donators every year for the quality and diversity of the event and the many benefits it brings to communities throughout Shetland.
Core funding for the 30th Shetland Folk Festival has been obtained from Shetland Charitable Trust and Event Scotland.
For the Festival's Educational and Youth Programme in 2010 (which includes the Playgroup concert, the Additional Support Needs Concert, the session at the Eric Gray Resource Centre, School Visits and the Youth Event) donations and funding have been obtained from BP and Sullom Voe Partners, the Scottish Community Foundation, the Scottish Arts Council through Awards for All and Vic Thomas.

The Shetland Folk Festival Committee recognises that sponsorship is a significantly important way to maintain and develop the quality and diversity for which the Festival is known worldwide. We are keen to discuss how sponsorship can be made to best work for businesses and are willing to consider tailoring sponsorship packages to particular needs.
Every year, the Festival has general sponsors as well as businesses who prefer to sponsor a specific event, project or even visiting band!
Without the kind generosity of our sponsors, the Shetland Folk Festival could not continue to enjoy its worldwide renown.
