Well folks, that's it for another year. BOO HOO! It really was a fantastic Festival though. Thanks to all the artistes (both visiting and local), all our sponsors, all the volunteers, all the accommodation hosts, the brilliant staff at Islesburgh as well as at the Clickimin, Lerwick Legion and Shetland Hotel, all the Community halls we used this year, the lighting and PA folks, Sonny Priest and the Lerwick Boating Club bar staff... and for everyone who purchased tickets! We simply couldn't do this Festival without you.

Today, there is a really good review of the Festival in the Scotsman which you can find here.

On our MySpace site - www.myspace.com/shetlandfolkfestival - we've put up a few photos that Lieve Boussauw has sent through already but there will be plenty more photos to come from both her and other Shetland based photographers.

Keep an eye on our Festival archives page for more links related to Festival coverage.

Take Care and we'll see you in 2009. The dates for the 29th Festival are 30th April to 3rd May.

Best wishes
Da Committee x
